White-chinned Petrel is practically identical to Westland Petrel. The white chin is diagnostic, but, as on the bird above, can be limited to just a few feathers at the base of the bill. Another difference is the yellow tip to the bill (black, or dark grey, in Westland).
The white chin is much more obvious on this bird, and was visible even at a distance.
